Market analysis of 14 December 2023
Wind generators delivered 85.43 GWh on 14 December 2023 and solar generators delivered 51.73 GWh, a combined 137.16 GWh across Australia’s five eastern and southern market regions. In Network Map’s daily unit records for 1 December to 31 December 2023, that was the 7th-highest daily wind total of 31 dates and the 5th-highest combined wind and solar day.
Wind output averaged 68.98 GWh a day over the same dates, so 14 December ran 23.8% above the period mean. Hydro added 32.28 GWh, while black and brown coal units supplied 184.34 GWh.
